And I colaciones how you can play with the different elements inside your body: earth, water, fire, air and consciousness. I’m giving detailed descriptions for everyone new so this yoga and meditation stuff isn’t such a woo-woo mystery. Keep it grounded in the body sensations. Move like water; fluid, soft, flowing, adapting. Practice this on the “mat” and it will start trickling into the rest of your life. good morning sunshine ☀️ new songs still flowing in easily 💕 sleeping with the sound of the ocean singing to me all night long 💤 waking up to watch the sunrise through the water and meditating on the beach with hair dripping salt water into the sand. life is simple and good. im writing stories on my blog. Im filming myself moving sand through yoga flows and learning how light plays underwater. I’m reading books about mermaids. I’m producing new songs, like the one in this video. This one is “mermaid prayer 7” in the project. Im still experimenting with singing in a made up language that’s sounds like mixture of what I imagine mermaid must sound like (speaking merish), elvish, whale song and Enya. Haha I’m chatting with my studio members everyday about juicy topics like sensuality, fetishes, the free spirit of creativity and how to embrace change in the livestreams I host. It’s one simple touch that builds an endearing, enduring friendship. Touch the guitar each day to say “hello friend” and beyond that, if your heart desires, enjoy more time. You build relationship and you feel the warmth that consistent touch has cultivated. Naturally you spend time together without even watching the clock, without forcing anything. Watch yourself pluck a string, play for a minute, then five, then fifty. Forget 10,000 hours. Where will that get you without a loyal love? Place a sweet finger on the surface of your love interest and smile with a kind word. “Hello love.” That is enough to begin. That is the beginning of a beautiful journey. No point stepping further forward without this as the foundation first. Not a day goes by that you two don’t connect. The consistency blossoms into partnership. You keep showing up and creativity knows where to find you. Show up at the same time each day and double the chance she finds you because now she knows where and when. I am no great guitarist though I do hold great love for the guitars I carry with me. They have received a loving touch from my hands. I’ve laid a listening ear on their bellies and they’ve caught tears falling with feelings. I gave up counting 10,000 hours a few years ago. I’ve been enjoying collecting 10,000 happy memories, simple moments, of deep loving presence with the instruments. Not counting hours anymore, just beats. Hair floating in water is one of the tastiest simple pleasures in the life I’m experiencing right now. Long flowing hair is a significant aspect to the mermaid’s aesthetic. Strong, long, colorful and healthy it symbolizes power, adds to her seductive charm and her investment in self care (constantly brushing her hair with a golden comb) demonstrates her self love. Self love = Power. Also, bikini off, skinny dipping at sunrise is the newest pleasure item on the list of good things to do when I’m in the mood to be ridiculously overjoyed with wonder. On my 34th bday I dressed up as a mermaid and spent the morning lounging on Banana Beach in Phuket, Thailand — sharp rocks poking my booty, waves crashing in around me, legs stuck together, sand in my mouth, crabs crawling past my face as I leaned my cheek on barnacles and squinted into the fire in the sky. The minute my feet were strapped into the mermaid tail I felt a strong urge to have legs again. I thought to myself, “But how am I going to climb trees now?” So many mermaid daydreams led me to this moment and suddenly I appreciated being fully human. Perhaps it was posing on a rock that made me realize I’d rather be swimming, playing. I was also in bliss…all I had to do for a couple hours was lay in the sun, sparkling, while a lovely photographer played with the light around me. I meditated as I stared at the blue sky and the soft jungle bushes beneath perfect palm trees. Playing dress up like a little girl, creating in nature like a wild woman…exactly the vibe I love for a birthday morning. We have a desire to return to the sea, to the water we’ve evolved out of. We have a desire to crawl onto the land, exploring beyond the water that birthed us. A pull out of the water and a pull into the water. A desire for fins and a desire for feet. I want both and this is what makes me human. I came from the #ocean so I want to go back, to go home. I left the ocean because I was curious what else I could find and I want to keep going. I want to travel and I want to be at home. I want to go back to childhood and I want to keep growing up. I want both because I am human. Inside of me there is an ocean, inside of me there is a home, inside of me there is a wilderness, inside of me there is unknown. Inside of me is the universe I look into and through and know I am human in a universe beyond me. This is the metaphor of the mermaid. She’s traveling between two worlds, pulled between them, transforming and longing for all of it. She wants both and that’s what makes her mermaid.
