A big thank you to all of the fans who have supported me during this hiatus. I created Summer Magazine in the midst of a global pandemic as a way to express myself creatively. I never knew it would turn into the success that it did, and so for 2 years straight, I spent every waking moment editing, planning, curating, directing, and implementing these shoots. I had a tiny team; photographer, videographer, occasional extra hands, but as the hands-on maniac that I am, I did the rest myself. While I absolutely loved this, it took its toll on me, and as a shock to no one, I burnt out. My magazine became a chore, something that stressed me out more than it excited me, and I knew it was time to take a breather. I’m the type of person that won’t half-ass my projects, so I knew I needed to step away to give everyone, myself included, the quality that Summer Magazine deserved. I’m finally in a place where I feel refreshed and excited about being creative again, and the future of my magazine excites me and no longer burdens me.
